This Jesus?  THE SUPERNATURAL ONE      	 Pastor Bob Chroninger

	Who Is This Jesus?... He is the "Seed of the Woman"... He is The "Son of God"... What 
marvelous descriptions of This One Called Jesus!  There is more... Today... I want to share with 
you that He is The "Supernatural One".  That is, He exists outside the normal experience and 
knowledge of man.  His life and work are not explainable by the known forces or laws of nature! 
I.  JESUS IS SUPERNATURAL IN HIS EXISTENCE.. 
  A. Eternal.. 
    1. He claimed... "before Abraham was, I AM"  Jn.8:58.. and the Jews understood His claim! 
    2. It was said.. "He was in the beginning with God... He was with God.. and He was God"  Jn.1:1 
    3. It was said.. "..the lamb slain before the foundation of the world."  Rev.13:8 
II.  JESUS IS SUPERNATURAL IN HIS PERSON.. 
  A. He Is Both Human AND Divine.. 
    1. His humanity is revealed... hungry, tired, limited, tempted... 
    2. His divinity is revealed... miracles, control of nature, life, death, demons, and.. on the Mt. of 
	Transfiguration.. Mt.17 
	- John said.. "we beheld his glory....."  Jn.1:14 
  B. He Is Both The "High Priest" AND The Sacrifice.. 
    1. As the High Priest..  Heb.2:17; 3:1; 4:14,15; 5:5,10; 6:20; 7:26; 8:1; 9:11; 10:21 
    2. As the Sacrifice.. Heb.9:12; 13:12,13 
  C. He Is Both The Holy One AND The One Made To Be "Sin" For Us! 
    1. As The Holy One..  Mt.1:24; Acts 2:27; 3:14; 1Jn.2:20 
    2. As The One Made "Sin".. Isaiah 53:6; 2Cor.5:21; 1Cor.15:3; Gal.1:4; Heb.1:3; 1Pet.2:24; 1Jn.2:2; Rev.1:5 
III. JESUS IS SUPERNATURAL IN HIS WORKS.. 
  A. He Is The Creator And Sustainer.. 
    1. By Him all things were made... John 1:3 
    2. By Him all things consist...  Neh.9:6; Col.1:17; Heb.1:3
	- Remember.. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE For God!! 
	- It is this same power that Purges our Sins !!! No Sin is TOO BIG! 
  B. He Is The Healer And Deliverer.. 
    1. He healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases..  Mt.4:23 
	- And He said all manner of sin & blasphemy could be forgiven! (Except unbelief!) 
    2. He Delivered many from bondage to Satan & sin! 2Cor.1:10; Gal.1:4 Heb.2:15; 2Pet.2:9  
	- He still DELIVERS TODAY !! 
IV.  JESUS WAS SUPERNATURAL IN HIS DEATH.. 
  A. Who Among Us (or anyone) Can Make The Claims He Did..? 
    1. "No man takes my life.. I lay it down... I will take it up again.." Jn.10:17,18 
    2. "Destroy this temple and in three days.."  Jn.2:19 
    3. To Pilate.. "you have no power over me.."  Jn.19:10,11 
  B. When He Had "FINISHED" It All...  Jn.19:30.. He "gave up the ghost" 
    1. The legs of the others were broken to hasten death... Jn.19:31-33 
V.  JESUS IS SUPERNATURAL IN HIS RESURRECTION.. 
  A. Others had lived, died and lived again... only to die again! 2Ki.4:32; 13:20,21; Luke 7:11-15; 
	Lazarus.. Jn.11:43; 12:10 
  B. No One Had Every Come Out of The Grave Like Jesus Did!! 
    1. The body put in the tomb is the body that came out!! Jn.20:24-29 
    2. The body was now "glorified" .. unlimited, eternal, 
	- And one day EVERY BELIEVER shall be Like Him!  1Jn.3:2  WOW! 
	- Are YOU a Believer Yet? 
    3. The body was a “FIRST!”
	- But.. others will experience that too, one day!  Ro.8:29; Col.1:14-18; 
	- All who are a part of the "church of the firstborn"  Heb.12:23 

WE (YOU) CAN KNOW HIM TODAY!! 
   HE HAD EVERYTHING & YET BECAME "NOTHING"  Phil.2:5-11 
SO THAT.. THOUGH I HAD NOTHING.. 
   YET IN HIM I HAVE EVERYTHING !!   (HOW ABOUT YOU??)
