	As if you hadn't noticed... this is Labor Day Weekend.  Our society today is in need of 
good workers in many fields.  The same is true in the church.  If you are "unemployed" in the
church... I want you to know... YOU ARE NEEDED!  I want to profile three men who were in 
ministry with Christ... different ministries... but all essential.  Follow along and think
about your own life and gifts... "Andrews", "Philips" and "Barnabas".... 
I.  ANDREWS Are RECRUITERS... 
  A. Who Was This Andrew? 
    1. He was the brother of Simon 
    2. He was a disciple of John the Baptist..  Jn.1:35,40-42 
  B. What Was This Andrew Like? 
    1. He was a "seeker" of spiritual truth 
    2. He was a "learner"  (a disciple is a believer, learner, doer) 
    3. He was a "responder" 
	- When John announced who Jesus was.. Andrew was one of  the first to follow 
	- When Jesus called.. (Mt.4:19,20) Andrew and Simon.. they "straitway left their nets and followed."
  C. What Did This Andrew Do? 
    1. He was a "recruiter"..  (the army keeps after some young men...) 
    2. He was bringing people to Jesus.. 
	- He brought his brother.. Peter..  Jn.1:39 
	- He brought a lad to Jesus..  five loaves and two fish..  Jn.6:8,9 
	- He brought the Greeks to Jesus..  (along with Philip)  Jn.12:20-22
 ** Are You An Andrew?? 
	- Make a "welcome" phone call to visitors on Sunday P.M. 
	- Search out newcomers in the community.. and invite them... 
	- Make "friendly" visits to guests at our services..
	- Is their a desire to be used of God to recruit people for Jesus? 
II.  PHILIPS Are EVANGELISTS.. 
  A. Who Was This Philip? 
    1. He was one of the chosen "deacons"  Acts 6 
  B. What Was This Philip Like? 
    1. A man of honest report.. a good reputation in the community.. Acts 6:3 
    2. A man who was "full" of the Holy Spirit.. 
    3. A man who was full of wisdom.. 
    4. A man who was obedient to the Spirit..  8:26.. 
    5. A man who was called the "evangelist"..  Acts 21:8,9 
  C. What Did This Philip Do? 
    1. He assisted in serving tables.. for a while..  Acts 6:5 
	- Everyone should do what they can do..  
	"some won't do what they can do because they can't do what they want to do" 
    2. He "launched" out.. Acts 8:5 
	- He went down to Samaria... 
	- He preached Christ.. wrought miracles... experienced revival   (and was led to leave...)
	- He witnessed to the Ethiopian Treasurer.. 8:26 (evangelized)
 ** Are YOU A "Philip"? 
	- Do you feel "comfortable" in sharing Christ?   (Or... Wish That You Could?)
	- Do you want to learn to be more effective? 
	- Would you like to make evangelistic calls on our guests as well as other prospects? 
	- Is there a desire to do "combat" for Christ and seek to win people to Christ? 
III.  BARNABAS' Are DISCIPLERS.. 
  A. Who Was Barnabas?..  "son of consolation" or exhortation  Acts 4:36 
  B. What Was Barnabas Like? 
    1. He was generous..  Acts 4:37 
    2. He was compassionate  9:26 
    3. He was a "good" man.. 11:23..  full of the Holy Spirit and Faith 
    4. He was inspiring, positive, trustworthy..  11:29 
  C. What Did Barnabas Do? 
    1. He sold land and gave the proceeds to the church for the needs of people. 4:36,37 
    2. He stood up for Saul, the new convert..  9:26-28 
	- Befriended him.. 
	- Brought him to Antioch for ministry..  Acts 11:25,26..
	- Became his companion on first missionary journey 
    3. He stood up for John Mark after he had "defected"..  15:36,37
 ** Are YOU A "Barnabas"? 
	- Are You a disciple first of all... (believer, learner, doer) 
	- Will You build friendships with new converts? 
	- Take time for personal instruction in their home? 
	- Will You build a friendship with a family or individuals that visit Trinity a few times? 
	- Will You phone those who are absent? 
	- Will You encourage others to attend Sunday School as well as Church? 
	- Will You pray for specific families.. spiritual and physical needs? 

HOW HAS GOD "GIFTED" YOU? 
    ARE YOU LEARNING, GROWING, and EXERCISING YOUR "GIFTEDNESS"? 
        WHY NOT START NOW... TO BE AN ANDREW, A PHILIP, or A BARNABAS !

	Become A True Laborer Together With God !!
