THE MARVEL of "LITTLE" THINGS           Pastor Bob Chroninger

	We serve a Great Big Wonderful God.  He is so Great.. greater than our wildest imaginations. 
One of His characteristics... is IMMENSITY... He is INFINITE.. bigger than all the universe... Yet our 
God is concerned about "little" things; "little" places; "little" people; "little" details.  
	He is concerned about the "trifles"!! 
I.  GOD USES LITTLE PEOPLE..  To Do Some Very BIG THINGS... 
  A. Who Led Israel Out of Egypt? 
    1. A little baby.. placed in a basket in the river.. by a humble slave mother..  Ex. 2 
  B. Who Defeated the Midianites with a mere 300 men? 
    1. A shy, insecure, oppressed civilian.. Judges 6.. 
  C. Who Sent Naaman To Elijah? 
    1. A little unnamed slave girl..  2Kings 5.. 
  D. Who Killed the Giant Goliath? 
    1. A little shepherd lad named David.. 1Sam.17..
  E. Who Received the Greatest News Ever.. 
    1. There were many scholarly, important men in Palestine.. 
    2. Yet the greatest news of all time in any place.. delivered by angels to the lowly shepherds 
	in the fields..  Lu.2:8.. 
  F. Who Encompassed the Mediterranean.. preaching the gospel? 
    1. A little Jew, small in stature, failing in eyesight.. 
  G. Who Does God Want To Use Here Tonight?   YOU !! 
    1. What's Your Excuse?  Too young?  Too old?  Too Little?  Too Sick?  Too Poor?
II.  GOD USES LITTLE PLACES.. 
  A. Jesus Came To Bethlehem.. a stable in Palestine..  Micah 5:2 
  B. D. L. Moody was "discovered" in a Shoe Store.. 
  C. Pilgrim's Progress was written in jail by John Bunyan.. and on milk bottle lids. 
  D. The Last Supper was held in a simple place.. an upper room  Mk.14:15 
  E. Your Home.. can be used by God.. no matter how humble! 
  F. Your Sunday School Class Room.. 
III.  GOD USES LITTLE THINGS.. 
  A. He used a stable.. manger.. no hospital with spotless maternity ward. Luke 2:7 
  B. He used five loaves and two fishes.. a little lunch.  Mt.14:19 
  C. He used an ox goad in the hand of Shamgar to defeat the Philistines. Jud.3:31 
  D. He used a shepherds staff in the hand of Moses.. not a gold walking cane.  Ex.4:2 
  E. He used saliva and dirt to heal a blind man.  Jn.9:6 
  F. You Don't Have Much... Cheer Up.. You Don't Need Much.. (Little is MUCH when God is in it)
IV.  GOD USES LITTLE TASKS.. 
  A. Jesus Condescended.. 
    1. He could have preached a sermon on the mountain every day 
    2. He could have appeared Transformed before them every day 
  B. Jesus Completed Little Tasks.. 
    1. Like blessing little children.. Mk.10:15,16 
    2. Like caring for His mother..  Jn.19:26,27 
  C. We.. Must Be Diligent in doing "little things" 	WELL ! 	Strive for Excellence! 
    1. What is your task? SS Teacher?  Nursery Worker?  Shut In Visitor? Greeter?  
	Building sweeper & cleaner?  Record keeper?  Attender? Encourager?  Prayer?  
	Whatever.... DO IT WELL !!! 

IF YOU ARE NOT SAVED.. THE LITTLEST THING YOU CAN DO... 
	(Repent, Believe, and Receive the Christ) IS THE GREATEST THING YOU CAN DO. 
IF YOU ARE SAVED.. EVEN THE LITTLEST THAT YOU HAVE.. 
	CAN BE USED IN A GREAT WAY BY GOD!  YIELD IT ALL TO HIM!
