THE THIRD ANGEL SPEAKS..           	Pastor Bob Chroninger 
Trinity C.U.  3-19-00 A.M.   	Revelation 14:9-13    	
	The first angel proclaimed the Gospel and called upon people to "fear God, glorify God, 
and worship God".  The second angel made an announcement that "Babylon is fallen".  The false 
religious system will be brought down by the "ten kings" and by the "will of God". 
	Now this third angel has words for the saved and unsaved alike. He is saying that it is 
better to be "RIGHT" in the sight of God and die for it than to be alive and "WRONG" in God's 
sight!  Think about That!! And there is a long list of examples... Abel, Joseph, the Prophets, 
the three Hebrew youth, Daniel, Stephen, James, Peter, Paul.. and Hebrews 11:35-40.  This angel
followed the other two.. flying in the midst of heaven... proclaiming with a LOUD voice... 
I.  A WORD OF CAUTION... (More like a RED Light than Yellow..) It is conditional... 
  A. If... anyone worships the beast.. or his image.. or takes the Mark 
    1. Remember the call of the First Angel... 
    2. This is to reject God's Son; God's gift; & God's plan of salvation 
    3. This is to receive man's ideas and plan... man's way... 
    4. All because of a heart of unbelief and rebellion 
  B. Then... 
    1. He will "drink of the wine of God's fury"  10 
	- God is patient & longsuffering now.. 2Pet.3:9,10... 
	   but.. "who can stand.. when He is angry?"  Ps.76:6 
	- It is poured full strength into His cup of wrath.. undiluted, no compassion at this time... 
	- I wish I didn't have to tell you this... but it is His Word !! 
    2. He will be tormented.. with fire and brimstone... 
	- In the presence of the holy angels.. 
	- In the presence of the Lamb.. the One who tasted death for them 
    3. He will be tormented for ever and ever.. 
	- It is eternal judgment.. 
	- It offers no escape... nor second chance... Luke.16:19-31 
	- It provides no rest day nor night...
 ** BUT What Great Mercy of God.. to warn so faithfully and emphatically!! 
II. A WORD OF CHALLENGE... 12 
  A. The Call for Patient Endurance.. on the part of the "saints" 
    1. Resisting the false religious system.. 
    2. Resisting the false messiah.. 
    3. Resisting the pressure of the false prophet..
 ** Even now..  Jas.4:7,8 "Draw nigh to God... resist the Devil..." 
  B. The Manifestation... 
    1. Those who obey God's commandments.. Jn.14:15 
    2. Those who remain faithful to Jesus..   Mt.24:13 
    3. Those who are willing to die rather than bow to the beast !! 
III.  A WORD OF COMFORT... 13,14 
  A. Comes from a special voice from heaven... 
    1. And John is commanded to "write" 
  B. Comes as a "Blessing"  "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on" 
    1. True of all Believers... but especially of them !!! 
	- Better to be Dead RIGHT than Live WRONG !! Mt.5:11,12; 10:28 
  C. Comes as a Promise from the Spirit.. of "rest and rewards" 
    1. They will rest from their labors.. (compare with the beasts worshipers) 
    2. They will be rewarded for faithfulness.. 
	- No matter what the circumstances.. 
	- Heaven speaks it, the Spirit confirms it, the Apostle wrote it. 
	- There will be justice in Heaven !!! 

HEED THE CAUTION... ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE.. (Receive Jesus TODAY) 
	AND ENJOY THE COMFORT... NOW AND FOREVER !!
