	We have seen the results of the opening of the first six seals.  Now John sees some 
other events between the sixth and the seventh seals.  The sixth seal reveals a judgment 
upon the ungodly... now God's care, protection, and provision for the righteous is seen. 
I.  THE FOUR ANGELS.. 1,2b,3 
  A. They are Standing.. at alert.. ready to do a job  2b 
  B. They are Standing on the four corners of the earth.. whole earth 
  C. They are Holding the Four winds.. 
    1. Not to blow on the earth.. sea.. trees 
    2. What a "calm" before another storm... God is in control 
  D. They are further restrained .. 2a 
    1. By another angel.. arising from the "east".. 
    2. Told to wait.. don't hurt the earth, sea, trees.. UNTIL... 
	- Until we have "sealed" this group! 
II.  THE 144,000 ISRAELITES..  2-8 
  A. The "Seal" 
    1. Brought by the angel.. who ascends from the east.. 
    2. Applied to the "forehead".. of the servants of God 
    3. A "Mark" of God.. = ownership;  = authority; = protection 
	- The Presence of the Holy Spirit is the "seal" now !! Eph.4:30 
  B. The "Sealed".. 
    1. Who Are They?  12,000 from each of 12 tribes of Israel 
	- The list varies.. about 19 times in OT 
	- Levi and Joseph are included... Dan & Ephraim excluded here 
	- Dan and Ephraim often involved in idolatry.. Deut.29:18-21; Jud.18; Amos 8:14
	    (included in the Millennium !!) 
	- None of the tribes were perfect... so.. see the Grace of God 
    2. Why Are They Sealed? 
	- Certainly not to "sit, soak, and sour"!! 
	- Witnesses... firstfruits... redeemed.. "saved to tell others" 
	- Israel, through these, will be a light to the nations during the world's darkest hour.  
		Is.11:10; 45:22 
  ** And In The Midst of His Wrath.. God Remembers Mercy..  Hab.3:2 
III.  THE GREAT MULTITUDE..  9-17 
  A. They Are "Innumerable".. quite a crowd.. 
    1. God is gracious and would have all to be saved.  1Tim.2:4; 2Pe.3:9 
  B. They Are Far Different..  all nations, kindred's, people, tongues.. 
  C. They Are "Standing" before the throne 
    1. With white robes and green palms.. 
  D. They Are Glorifying God.. 10 
    1. By Their own "loud" voices.. 
	- Saying.. "Salvation to our God and to the Lamb" (5:8-10; 12:10; 19:1) 
    2. By Inspiring Others.. 11,12 
	- The angels; the elders; the living beings.. 
	    - Fell on their faces... worshipped God 
	    - Saying... Amen; blessing; glory; wisdom; thanksgiving; honor power; might...
		 be unto our God FOR EVER AND EVER. 
  E. They Have "Come Out of" Great Tribulation.. 
    1. The Question asked.. "who are they?".. John didn't know.. 
    2. The Answer given... 14 
	- They came out of great tribulation.. missed the rapture; lived into the tribulation;
        were redeemed; have now come out of it.. perhaps by virtue of martyrdom.. 20:4 (6:11)
	- They "washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb" 
  F. They Are Before the Throne of God.. 15 
    1. In His Presence... because they are "blood bought" & accepted 
    2. In His Service... "day and night".. just continuous 
    3. In His Provision...  16 
	- No hunger.. no thirst..  no discomfort (they have endured that) 
	- Fed by the Lamb.. 17 
	- Led by the Lamb.. to the living fountains of water 
	- Comforted by God.. He will wipe away all tears.. 

WHAT A PICTURE OF GOD'S MERCY & GRACE IN THE MIDST OF HIS WRATH !!! 
	BUT TODAY IS YOUR DAY... 
    WILL YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR "NEED".. THE PROBLEM IS SIN 
    WILL YOU BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR 
    WILL YOU COMMIT YOUR LIFE TO HIM... NOW !!!

	Today, November 28, 1999, I acknowledge my sin before God... I believe that
Jesus Christ died to pay my sin debt.. and rose again.. I now invite Him to come into
my heart and life to by my Lord and Savior.. and I give Him thanks for forgiving my
sin and making me one of His children.
