Trinity C.U.  10-31-99 A.M.  	 Revelation 4:10-5:14   	
	What an Awesome Scene in chapter 4.. The Throne of God... and it closes with the 
redeemed ones casting their crowns before the Lord. Chapter 5 introduces the seven seals.. and 
the beginning of the Tribulation Period.  It is the 70th week of Daniel (Dan.9:27) and the 
"time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer.30:9-11).  Jesus gives a preview of these end time events in the 
"Olivet Discourse" (Mt.24,25) 
	Now.. with the Church raptured from the earth and in the presence of the Lord, and John's 
attention captured.. he sees the seven sealed scroll in the Lord's right hand.  It is the "title
deed" to the earth and all its possessions which were forfeited by Adam and now are to be reclaimed.
Satan has usurped control for a time.  (Jer.32:9-12 and Ruth give the principle of the "kinsman
redeemer").  A search is made to find a man worthy to claim and open the seals on the scroll.  None
is to be found...and John weeps... because all is lost if someone cannot reclaim all that was lost. 
	Then.. one of the 24 elders instructs John... "there is ONE".. the "Lion" of the tribe of Judah.. 
the root of David.  The ONE who has the right to David's throne. When John turned to see this ONE.. 
he saw instead a Lamb that looked as though it had been slain.  He had all power, all knowledge, and all 
the fullness of the Spirit.  The Lamb, Jesus, takes the scroll and the living creatures and the 24 elders 
fall down before Him in worship and praise.  And the keynote then is that HE IS WORTHY!! 
	
	But Why?... BECAUSE HE IS WORTHY..!!  There are Three Great Facts that declare 
Him Worthy.. to open the Scroll... and to control our lives: 
I.  HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE IS THE CREATOR...  4:10-11 
  A. All Things Created By Him..  Jn.1:3; Col.1:16,17; 4:11 
    1. You.. with all your abilities, opportunities, etc. (and me)
    2. You.. with all your possessions.. He it is who gives you the power to get wealth.. 
       Deut.8:18 
  B. All Things Created For Him.. Ro.11:33-36 
    1. For His Glory, Honor, Pleasure, and Praise !!  Ps.102:18; 148:5; Is.43:7; Rev.4:11 
 ** He Is Worthy of Glory, Honor, and Power !! 
II.  HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE IS THE REDEEMER...5:9,10 
  A. What He Did.. 
    1. He Redeemed Us To God.. From Sin and Satan (Gal.3:13;; 4:5; Titus 2:14) 
	- A Greater part of Redemption lies in the future!!! Lu.21:28; 1Cor.15:19; Ro.8:22,23;
        Eph.1:13,14 
    2. He Lifted Us..  made us unto God.. kings & priests.. to reign.. 
  B. How He Did It.. 
    1. He was slain as a lamb.. Is.53.. Oh the Suffering Lord!! 
    2. His blood was shed..
	- Blood is the life of the flesh...     Lev.17:11 
	- Blood (shed) provides forgiveness.. (remission of sin) Heb.9:22 
	- Blood makes atonement (reconciliation)   2Chron.29:24; Ro.5:11 
 ** He Is Worthy To Take The Book and Open The Seals.. 
     and He Is Worthy of Our TOTAL DEDICATION... for He Has Redeemed Us !! 
III.  HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE IS THE COMING RULER & JUDGE (KING) 
 When He Comes In Power and Great Glory... 
  A. He Will Come Without Sin unto Salvation.. Heb.9:28 
  B. He Will Defeat His Enemies.. Antichrist, False Prophet, Satan and all their followers.
     Rev.19:19-20:3 
  C. He Will Set Up His Earthly Kingdom.. the one the Jews expected.. Lu.24:21; Acts 1:6 
  D. He Will Rule With a "Rod of Iron" for a Thousand Years.. Ps.2:9; Rev.2:27; 12:5; 19:15 
 ** He Is Worthy Because He Is CREATOR, REDEEMER, & COMING RULER !! 
  SO WHAT? YOU ASK... 
	ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AS CREATOR of ALL... 
	BELIEVE IN HIM AS YOUR REDEEMER.. 
	CONFESS HIM AS YOUR LORD (RULER, KING, & MASTER) ..
		IF HE'S NOT LORD OF ALL.. HE'S NOT LORD AT ALL !
