	We have talked much about the Antichrist.. now we begin to see some definite descriptions 
about him.  We see also some other key information about him.  Ultimately he will be destroyed... but 
the time has not yet come.. Cheer up ye saints of God!! 
I.  HIS PERSON..  13:1,2 
  A. As Usual... so many ideas about his identity.. Hitler, Mussolini, the Pope, etc. 
  B. Here He Is Portrayed As A "Beast" 
    1. This is in line with Daniel's vision.  Dan.7:3-27 
    2. Both an empire and a person..  the Revived Roman Empire 
	- Europe is working steadfastly toward union... money, trade, travel.. etc.
  C. He is Seen as "coming up out of the sea".. = nations. 
    1. Pictured as "7 heads and 10 horns" (he is the 11th)
	 - He will gain control of this last Gentile empire.. 
    2. Nationally he is cosmopolitan... representing the peoples of earth 
	- Out of the sea... Gentile 
	   - He is part Greek... Dan.8:8,9 
	   - He is Roman..  Dan.9:26 
	   - He is Jew..  Dan.11:36,37 
  D. He Is seen elsewhere as..."the man of sin" (lawless one); the son of perdition"; 
	"that wicked one"..  2Thes.2:3-8 
    1. Very charismatic and persuasive.. 
II.  HIS PERSPECTIVE.. 13:1,5 
  A. In The Beginning... peaceful.. makes covenant with Israel  Dan.9:27 
    1. We are warned though.. Jer.6:14; 8:11 
  B. In The Middle (of the Tribulation) 
    1. The "mask" comes off... now.. personal exaltation..
	- He will blaspheme God.. 
	- He will belittle God's people 
III.  HIS POWER.. vs.2 .. Remember Satan is cast down.. 12:9,10 
  A. It Comes From The Dragon.. (Satan)  2Thes.2:9.. after the working.. 
    1. He gave the Beast power.. Satan is powerful, remember 
    2. He gave the Beast his Seat.. "thronos" 2:13; 16:10 
    3. He gave the Beast great authority.. power over.. 
  B. It Is Demonstrated By Miracles.. (wonders of deceit) - 2Thes.2:9,10; Rev.12:9; 13:14; 18:23 
    1. One of his "heads" as it were.. a deadly wound.. & healed 
	- A Satanic "resurrection" & "embodiment" 
	- Something that happens then.. and visible to the world 
  C. It Results In "Absolute" Control.. well almost.. 3 1/2 years...13:5 
    1. He will control religious expression 
	- At first allows a "religious" confederation... ch.17 
	- Then he will "define" it.. and require worship as god! vs.14,15 
	- As he sets himself up as god.. 2Thes.2:3,4 
    2. He will control the world militarily.. 4  (who can make war...) 
	- The United Nations is moving in that direction 
    3. He will control the world economically..  13:16,17 
    4. He will control the world politically..  vs.7 
	- The Committee of 50 States... an insurance policy ??? 
 ** But those who worship him and receive his "mark" are "doomed" 
      Their names are not written in the Lamb's book of life!  vs. 8 
IV.  HIS PUNISHMENT.. 13:9,10 (though more definite later) 
  A. Listen Up...  vs.9 
    1. He will force his will on the world... Satan is behind it! 
    2. He will not get away with it.. 
  B. Destruction is on its way ! .. vs.10 
    1. Predicted by Paul... 2Thes.2:8.. whom the Lord shall destroy! 
    2. Performed by Jesus.. Rev.19:20 at His Return 

THE SPIRIT OF REBELLION IN THE HEART OF ANY PERSON INDICATES THAT HE IS A
SUBJECT OF THE ANTICHRIST EVEN BEFORE HE ARRIVES !! 

THE SPIRIT OF SUBMISSION TO THE LAW OF GOD IS A SUPERNATURAL RESULT OF
