THE TIMES of THE GENTILES  II          	 Pastor Bob Chroninger
Trinity C.U.  7-25-99 P.M.   		Daniel 7:1-28    		 
	And you think you have some strange dreams...  Daniel has  this one about 50 years after
 Nebuchadnezzar's in chapter 2.  I believe it covers the same "ground" but is given from God's 
perspective.  The Gentile nations appear as "beasts" devouring each other until they are 
conquered by the Lord. 	Let's look at Daniel's Dream... 
I.  IT TOOK PLACE IN THE FIRST YEAR OF BELSHAZZAR.. at night 
II.  IT INVOLVED FOUR BEASTS.. 7:4.. 
  A. The First Beast.. 
    1. Like a lion with eagle's wings (which were plucked); was made to stand upright; given a 
	man's heart 
  B. The Second Beast..  7:5 
    1. Like a bear; raised itself up on one side; had three ribs in its mouth 
  C. The Third Beast.. 7:6 
    1. Like a leopard; had four wings; four heads; given dominion 
  D. The Fourth Beast.. 7:7 
    1. Like No Other.. dreadful & terrible; exceeding strong; great iron teeth; devoured & 
	broke in pieces; stamped the residue with its feet; just indescribable!! 
    2. It had ten horns.. 7:8; and another "little" horn appears; it plucked up three of the first 
	horns;  had eyes like a man; had a mouth and spoke great things.. 
III.  IT INVOLVED AN "OVERTHROW" OF THESE BEASTS.. 7:9 
  A. The Thrones (of these beasts) were Cast Down.. 
  B. The Throne of The Ancient of Days Is Established 
    1. The "Ancient of Days" is GOD!   (Rev.1:14,15) - garments white as snow; hair like pure wool 
    2. The Throne is His Place of Judgment.. like a fiery flame.. 10; 
	- millions ministered unto Him; 100's of millions stood before Him 
    3. The Judgment Was Set.. books were opened; the "beast" destroyed 11 
	- the rest of the beasts... dominion was taken away; lives spared... 
IV.  IT INVOLVED THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST!  7:13 
  A. He Is Described As "One Like The Son of Man" 
  B. He Came With The Clouds of Heaven 
  C. He Came Near The Ancient of Days.. 
  D. He Was Given Dominion, glory, a kingdom; all people serve Him 7:14 
    1. It shall not pass away 
    2. It shall not be destroyed.. (in contrast to the gentile rulers) 
V.  IT INVOLVED FRUSTRATION..  7:15 
  A. Daniel grieved in his spirit.. his body was affected 
  B. Daniel's vision troubled him... 
  C. Daniel sought for a meaning.. 16 
VI.  IT INVOLVED INTERPRETATION..  7:16.. he was made to understand.. 
  A. The Four Beasts Are Four Kings.. 7:17 .. that shall arise.. 
    1. The Lion = Babylon; The Bear = Medo-Persia; The Leopard = Greece; The Indescribable.. 
	special details.. 
  B. The Fourth Beast... 7:19.. 
    1. Diverse, dreadful, teeth of iron, nails of brass 
    2. Devoured, broke in pieces, stamped the residue.. 
    3. The "little horn" of vs 8 made war... 21 - Made war with the saints.. prevailed against them  21 
	- Until the Ancient of Days came.. 22
	   - Then Judgment was set... was given to the saints.. 
	- Until the time for the saints to possess the kingdom 
    4. It shall be the Fourth Kingdom upon the earth.. 23 
    5. The Ten Horns are 10 kings.. 24.. 
    6. Then Another One shall arise.. diverse..24
	- He shall subdue three of the kings.. 
	- He shall speak great words against the Most High..  25 
	- He shall wear out the saints of the Most High.. 
	- He shall think to change times and laws.. 
	   - "they" shall be given into his hand.. 
	   - Until a time, times, & the dividing of times (3 1/2 yrs.)
	 - He shall be judged and lose his dominion..  26
   C. The Kingdom Predicted... 7:27 
    1. The greatness and dominion under the whole heaven... 
    2. The kingdom will be given to the people of the saints.. of the Most High
	- Whose kingdom is everlasting 
	- Who shall be served & obeyed by all.. 
AND DANIEL WAS STILL TROUBLED... BUT HE CONTINUED TO CONSIDER IT... 28 
BOTH OF THESE DREAMS HAVE TO DO WITH THE GENTILE WORLD DOMINION 
	UNTIL CHRIST COMES IN THE REVELATION... (Rev.19:11-21)
