DANIEL'S DETAILS of ISRAEL'S FUTURE  II        Pastor Bob Chroninger 
Trinity C.U.  8- -99      		Daniel 12:1-13      	 
	This chapter continues the information that the angel was giving to Daniel and still
relates to the "70th Week" intended for "thy people and thy holy city". Remember.. there are 
differences of opinion... and how one understands Daniel will determine the interpretation of 
the end times. 
	Notice the Details given to Daniel... 
I.  AND AT THAT TIME..
. ** What Time??  The time of the 70th week... the time being described in 11:35-45 
  A. The Angel of Israel.. Michael.. 
    1. He is "the great prince" 
    2. He will "Stand up" .. for the children of "thy people" 
  B. The Time Will Be One of Trouble (And Israel is one focus" 
    1. A specific time.. none like it before nor after.. 
	- A time of Jacob's trouble..  Jer.30:4-11 
	- A time when God "will cast Israel into His melting pot" 
	   - Ezek.22:17-22; Zech.13:8,9; Mal.3:1-6 
	- A time Jesus spoke about.. Mt.24:9-22 
	- A time revealed to John.. Rev. 6:1-19:21 
    2. The Time Is Described In Rev. 12:1-17 
	- Michael and his angels ... "war in heaven"  Rev.12:7 
  C. The Jews Will Be Delivered  (thy people) 
    1. Along with everyone found written in the "book"  Dan.12:2 
    2. Living believers of the Tribulation will go into the Kingdom..
	- After the Tribulation.. Judgment of "sheep and goats" Mt.25:31-46 
  D. There Will Be Resurrection(s)  Dan.12:2 (he saw only one) 
    1. "Some to everlasting life..."  (the first Resurrection... Rev.20:6.. Blessed...)
	-  (?) A number have been raised from death.. to die again... 
	- But.. Christ is the "firstfruits"  1Cor.15:20-23 
	- There were many at the resurrection of Christ.. Mt.27:51-53 (?) 
	- Church age saints at the Rapture.. (Jn.14:1-3; 1Cor.15:51,52; 1Thes.4:13-18) 
	- The Two Witnesses at Mid-Tribulation.. Rev.11:1-13 
	- The Old Testament Saints at the Second coming.. Dan.12:2 
	- And Tribulation Saints... 
	- Any believer who dies during the Kingdom age (if they die ?) 
    2. "Some to everlasting contempt.."  all the unsaved dead... Rev.20:5,11-14
  E. There Will Be Rewards for Faithfulness... Dan.12:3 
    1. Those obedient in reaching out to the lost.. "shine as the stars" !! 
II.  BUT FOR NOW...  Daniel 12:4-13 
  A. A Decree... "shut up the words, and seal the book"  vs.4 
  B. A Delay... 
    1. "Even to the time of the end" 
	- Many shall run to and fro.. 
	- Knowledge shall be increased.. 
    2. But.. for How Long?  vs.6  (until all these terrors end?) LB 
	- The angel took an oath... 7
	- The angel told the truth.. 
	   - It shall be for a time, times, and one half time (3 1/2 yrs) 
	   	- After the power of the holy people is crushed... 
	   - It shall bring a completion to these things !! 
  C. A Desire... "I understood not; then said I, O my Lord..?"  12:8 
    1. The words are closed and sealed.. 12:9 (go thy way Daniel) 
	- till the time of the end.. (2500 years have passed.. are we closer, YES!!) 
    2. The "wise"..  12:10
	- many shall be purified.. "you must be born again!" 
	- many shall be made white.. (clean) 
	   - "though your sins be as scarlet.. "white as snow"  Is.1:18 
	- many shall be tried.. (refined, purged) 
	- many (the wise) shall understand.. 
    3. The "wicked"
	- they shall continue and increase in their sin..  1Tim.4:1; 2Tim.3:1-9
	- they shall not understand 
    4. The "worship" (during the 70th week)    12:11 
	- the daily sacrifice shall be taken away.. 
	- there is None now... 
	   - there will be at the beginning of the Tribulation period. 
	- the "abomination that makes desolate".. 12:11 
	   - Mt.24:15; 2Thes.2:3,4; Rev.13:1-8 (mark of the beast, 13:9-18) 
    5. The "Wait".. 12:11 b, 12  "Blessed is he that waiteth...)
	- from Mid Tribulation... 1290 days (?)
	- blessed.. the ones who "wait" and come to the 1335 days.. 
	   - Perhaps the time for Christ to establish the Kingdom.. 
	- but Daniel... - you shall "rest".. die.. 13 
	   - you shall stand up in thy "lot" ..at the end of days.. 
	   - God assured him of the resurrection and reward !! 
WELL... WHAT A LOT OF INFORMATION.. WHAT ANTICIPATION !!!
