HOW YOU CAN KNOW for SURE            Pastor Bob Chroninger

	If you were to die tonight and stand before God... and He were to ask you, 
"Why should I let you into my heaven?"  What would you answer Him?   Well...? 
I.  GOD  MADE A WONDERFUL PROMISE... 
  A. That Heaven Can be Your Eternal Home...  Jn.14:1-3; 1Pet.1:4 
  B. That Eternal Life Can be Your Present Possession... Ro.6:23 
  C. That Your Sins Can be Forgiven Now... Eph.1:7; Col.1:14 
  D. That Life Now Can Have Meaning, Purpose, and Direction... Ro.12:1,2 
 **  There Are Answers to the Questions... "Where did I come from?" "Who am I?"  
"Why am I here?"  "Where am I going when I die?" 
II.  DID YOU KNOW... 
  A. That Heaven Is A Free Gift.. 
    1. It cannot be earned by good works... Eph.2:9; Titus 3:5 
    2. It was "paid" for by the Lord Jesus..  John 3:16; 1Pet.1:18,19 
    3. It is "offered" as a gift... Ro.6:23 b. 
  B. That Heaven Is NOT Earned or Deserved.. 
    1. "All our 'righteousnesses' are as filthy rags.."  Isaiah 64:6 
    2. "While we were yet sinners Christ died for the ungodly.." Ro.5:6-8 
  C. That Mankind Has A Terrible Problem.. 
    1. We are ALL sinners by birth..  because of Adam's transgression Ro.5:14-17 
    2. We are ALL sinners by choice..  
	- Ps.58:3 "go astray from birth"
	- It is from within, out of the heart... proceed evil thoughts, adulteries...,
         murders... " Mark 7:21
    3. We Cannot Save Ourselves..  Eph.2:8,9; Acts 4:12; John 14:6 
  D. That God Has A "Dilemma".. 
    1. He is "merciful" and doesn't want to punish us... 2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack
       concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, 
       not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (KJV) 
    2. He is JUST and MUST Punish Sin... 
	- He is Holy... and sin is an offense   Habakkuk  1:13 
	- He is angry with sin..  Psalm 7:11
	- He Commands ALL to repent... Acts 17:30; Luke 13:1-5; etc. 
	- He is JUST and the Justifier of those who believe in Jesus..  Ro.3:26
III.  GOD'S MARVELOUS PROVISION... 
  A. Jesus is The Christ... The Son of God.. John 1:1, 14; 20:31 
  B. Jesus is God Manifest in Human Flesh !!! NOTHING LESS !!! 
    1. A Great Mystery... but True nevertheless!!  1Tim.3:16; Jn.5:16-30 
  C. Jesus Paid For Our Sins.. and Offers Heaven and Eternal Life as a FREE GIFT !!! 
    1. All our sins were laid on Him... Isaiah 53:6; 
    2. All our sins Can Be forgiven...  Eph.1:7 
    3. All of us Can Have A Home in Heaven...  Eph.1:14; John 14:2 
    4. All of us Can Receive The Gift...  Ro.6:23 
IV.  GOD'S SIMPLE PLAN... 
  A. We Receive Eternal Life by Faith.. 
    1. It is more that "mental assent".. or "temporal trust" 
    2. Remember... even the "demons" believe... James 2:19 
  B. We Must Trust Jesus ALONE for Forgiveness and Eternal Life. Titus 3:5,6; Eph.2:8 
  C. We Receive Him By Prayer.. Asking God.. Rev.3:20; Ro.10:13 
    1. Have You Received Jesus as LORD and SAVIOR? 
IF NOT... DO IT NOW !!!   IF YOU HAVE... THEN BEGIN TO PASS IT ON !!!
