	What's in a name?  In the ancient world, knowing another's name was a special privilege 
that offered access to that person's thought and life. If you don't know a person's name... you 
really don't know them very well at all!  God has revealed Himself by several names that reveal 
His character and love for His own. 
	Notice the account of Abraham and his "sacrifice" of Isaac... 

I.  GOD PROVIDES THE RIGHT THING... 
  A. A "ram".. a substitute for Isaac... 
    1. To take Isaac's place.. 
    2. To die in the place of the one devoted to death.. 
	- Right because it was an acceptable substitute 
	- Right because it was a "blood" sacrifice
 ** God was "testing" Abraham.. strengthens character and deepens our commitment to God! 
  B. A "Lamb".. a Substitute for ALL! 
    1. Everyone of us, because of sin, is under a curse, devoted to death.. Ro.3:23; 6:23 a 
	- It is appointed unto man once to die and then judgment..  Heb.9:27 
	- The soul that sinneth shall die..  Ezek.18:4,20 
	- In Adam all die... Ro.5:12; 1Cor.15:22
 ** God did not allow Isaac to die... He did not spare His Son... Ro.8:32 
    2. Jesus is the "Lamb of God"..  Jn.1:29, 36 
	- The Father knew what was needed.. then and now to satisfy the demands of the law He had made..
	   - To satisfy His own personal holiness..  Ro.3:25; 1Jn.2:2 
	   - To forgive and set the sinner free..  John 8:36 
	- The Father was the ONLY One who could provide... 
	   - Education?    NO;   Civilization?    NO;  School killings again !!
	    - And.. the "spin doctors of the Media.." wring their hands and ask "WHY?" 
	- The Father knows "regeneration" is essential.. we must have a new heart and nature that 
	   is "right" with God.. or be lost forever! 
II.  GOD PROVIDES AT THE RIGHT PLACE.. 
  A. The Ram was caught in the thicket... at the right place! 
    1. All a part of the divine plan, purpose, and arrangement 
  B. The Ram and The "Lamb" probably died at the same place!  Mt. Moriah 
    1. The Cross is the Right Place.. to be reconciled to God.. 
	- By the blood of His cross we are made nigh.. Col.1:20 
    2. The Cross is the Right Place.. to be rectified by God.. made right 
	- By His blood, by faith in His blood... we are declared righteous.. Ro.3:25; 5:9 
	   - Then begins the life long journey of  "becoming what we are"
    3. The Cross is the Right Place and ONLY PLACE! 
III.  GOD PROVIDES AT THE RIGHT TIME.. 
  A. Just when the knife was raised and the death blow is about to fall.. 22:10 
    1. The voice is heard  22:11,12 
  B. God's clock is never one moment behind... WOW !! 
    1. Our faith may be (will be) tried and tested.. 
    2. Our human experience may reach the point of despair.. 
	- He never allows more than we can take... 1Cor.10:13; 2Cor.4:8-10 
	- He allows us to get to the end of "self" to see the beginning of grace. 
	   - Peter's "Lord save me, I perish".. brought immediate response 

ABRAHAM SAID.. "MY SON, GOD WILL PROVIDE".. AND HE DID! 
	YOU TOO CAN CLAIM THE PROMISES...
	    CONFIDENTLY.. Ro.8:32..  He spared not His own Son.. 
	    EXPECTANTLY.. Heb.11:11.. He is faithful who hath promised.. 
	    CONTINUALLY.. Heb.13:5b.. He said.. "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
   HAVE YOU PUT YOUR TRUST IN JEHOVAH-JIREH.. THE GOD WHO WILL PROVIDE??
	IF YOUR ANSWER IS "NO"... WHY NOT NOW !!
